As part of their Send a Prayer My Way tour, Julien Baker and TORRES delivered a beautifully haunting performance at Tipitina's in New Orleans on May 1, 2025. The filled-to-the-brim show, featuring an opening set by special guest Big Benny Bailey, brought together an eclectic crowd of longtime fans of the artists, country music fans, and queer-music devotees alike, all in one shared space for the night. For many in the crowd, particularly those from queer and Southern communities, the performance offered rare representation spoken directly in hand with their lived experiences, conveyed through themes of resilience, love, heartache, and emotional vulnerability.

The duo's set showcased their collaborative country album, Send a Prayer My Way, released on April 18, 2025. The album, noted for its emotional depth and exploration of grief, addiction, identity, love, and faith, was brought to life on stage with heartfelt renditions of original tracks, alongside country music covers that left the Southern crowd cheering enthusiastically.

For those in attendance, it was an unforgettable come-together , vulnerability, community, and the catharsis of live music.
